Adversarial Cognitive Propagation Profile.

The Adversarial Cognitive Propagation Profile (ACPP) names seven threats so a reader can recognize them operating on themselves. Each ACPP row below leads with the defensive diagnostic — the question to ask — and ends with a cross-link to the corresponding DCTI stage. The page is structured as an immune-system map.

the editorial cut

Full operational detail — payload forms, success conditions, the offensive-objective taxonomy, the attack matrix techniques — is held internal per the dual-use clause in /canon/ethics. The summary below names the threat surface so readers can recognize it operating on them. The reasoning behind the cut lives at /research/cognitive.

Each threat below is a separate part of one architecture. Read through The Installed Watcher for why these seven and not others — together they build the terminal state where the operator no longer needs to operate.

§01the seven threats

diagnostic question

Did this earn my attention, or did it seize it?

threat 01

Attention-Capture

Seizes attention before reflective awareness can intervene. The operator is not yet trying to persuade; they are creating the pause.

defense → DCTI § stage 1
diagnostic question

What emotion did this signal ask me to feel before I knew whether it was true?

threat 02

Affective-Tagging

Attaches emotion before meaning is evaluated. The signal arrives already colored — fear, belonging, outrage, shame, urgency.

defense → DCTI § stage 2
diagnostic question

What was the first version I encountered, and is it still underneath my later thoughts?

threat 03

First-Frame Imprinting

Makes the first version the mental default. Later corrections become appendices, not replacements.

defense → DCTI § stage 3
diagnostic question

What had already been weighted before I started weighing?

threat 04

Valuation-Bias

Loads the scale before deliberation begins. The target feels like they are reasoning while inputs have already been weighted.

defense → DCTI § stage 4
diagnostic question

What did this signal want me to do before I had time to understand it?

threat 05

Behavioral-Commitment

Turns the target into a carrier. Belief is not always required; action is enough — share, repeat, post, vote, mock, defend.

defense → DCTI § stage 5
diagnostic question

What remains in me after the correction?

threat 06

Residue-Persistence

Ensures damage remains after correction. The operator does not need the original claim intact; doubt, stigma, or distrust are enough.

defense → DCTI § stage 6
diagnostic question

Who owns the repair if this is wrong?

threat 07

Repair-Disruption

Exploits harms that no institution has a category for. The viral misidentification with no agency to escalate to. The unowned harm.

defense → DCTI § stage 6

§02practice — spot the stage

Recognition is a skill, and a taxonomy is not practice. Read each line and name the stage it is running. You are training the reflex on yourself, not learning to build the move.
